Prayer is essential to any effective action. Each week at TheEFC.ca/TakeAction we rotate through a prayer request from each of these five areas: Sanctity of Life Care for the Vulnerable Church and Mission Family and Community Religious Freedom. We also list an EFC affiliate group to pray for.

This Week’s Prayer Prompts   

This week's prayer is about collaboration. As a national association, the EFC plays a unique role in promoting collaboration among churches, ministry organizations and higher education institutions. The EFC also draws together networks and partnerships to meet the needs of communities and our nation. 

Each week, we also list an EFC affiliate organization to pray for.  This week, pray for Welcome Church, a project of Our Common Calling designed to encourage churches across Canada to welcome newcomers to their neighbourhoods. Welcome Church will now find a permanent home as a project of the EFC. Pray for churches who are welcoming newcomers, that they might find the best approach to each situation, and for the newcomers themselves as they integrate themselves into life in Canada. Pray for wisdom for the EFC as it helps oversee Welcome Church.

• for churches in Canada and around the world
• for wisdom, courage and opportunities to love our neighbours
• for the EFC’s work on your behalf

Become involved

• Offer practical, tangible help to people in need or in crisis
• Raise awareness in your church and community
• Learn more about a topic individually or as part of a church study group

Ask for change

• Call, write or visit your MP. Remember to thank them for their service and let them know you’re praying for them. Find your MP’s contact information. Get great advice in our Engagement Kit.
• Raise awareness of a topic. Share what you’re learning on social media
