New video series features Canadian Christian stories and ideas

Faith Today magazine, the national Christian magazine published by The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, announces the launch of Faith Today TV, a YouTube channel devoted to bringing some of the best of Faith Today magazine’s journalism to life on video.

“We are very excited about this new way to bring some of the excellent content from Faith Today into the world of video streaming,” says Karen Stiller, a senior editor of Faith Today and director of communications for The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada.

The current lineup of Faith Today TV features Church in Community, a show that takes viewers inside the creative efforts of Canadian churches to serve their nearest neighbours. The episodes released so far go behind the scenes of open public prayer spaces in a downtown Hamilton church, a weekly supper from a parish in Ottawa and a guitar club held by a Winnipeg church. The emphasis of the show is on tips and advice for churches that might want to offer similar initiatives to their communities.

Another show on Faith Today TV is the Take Away Show, which features excerpts of the best practical advice and insights from the award-winning Faith Today Podcast, an audio series now in its sixth year.

“As we build out Faith Today TV and experiment with new show ideas, we are eager to see how viewers respond to experiencing the magazine’s unique Canadian content in creative video formats,” explains Brian Lopez, Faith Today TV producer and the EFC’s digital media manager.

Episodes can be viewed at on the Faith Today site or at YouTube.com/FaithTodayCanada.
